The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle is P=2L+2. Solve the formula for L. Then use your formula to find the length of a rectangular field with a perimeter of 620 feet and a width of 140 feet.

    Your formula is written incorrectly. The formula for a rectangle is: P = 2 (l+w)

    (p equals two times parenthesis length plus width end parenthesis)

    So with your givens you have: 620 = 2 (l + 140)

    Now we solve: 310=l+140

    310 - 140 = l

    170 = l
