This would be much easier to understand if you write it in this format:

    (x^3) - (2y^2) - (3x^3) + (z^4)

Now replace the variable with the values:

    (3^3) - (2 * 5^2) - (3 * 3^3) + (-3^4)

    Solve using order of operations:

    (27) - (2 * 25) - (3 * 27) + (81) =

    (27) - (50) - (81) + (81) =

    -23 - (81) + (81) =

    -104 + (81) =

    -23

So the final answer is - 23.

    3 to the power of 3 - 2 times 5 to the power of 2 - 3 time 3 to the power of 3 plus - 3 to the power of 4

    9 - 2 times 25 - 3 time 9 + (-81)

    9 - 50 - 27 - 81

    -41 - 27 - 81

    -68 - 81

    -149
