    The surface are of a rectangular prism is the sum of the areas of the six sides ...

    A=2 (xy+xz+yz) in this case:

    A=2 (3*2+3*1+2*1)

    A=2 (6+3+2)

    A=2 (11)

    A=22 ft^2
