An angle measures 84.8° more than the measure of a complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?

    If x be one angle then its complementary angle = 90-x

    therefore we can write the equation:-

    x - (90 - x) = 84.8

    2x - 90 = 84.8

    2x = 174.8

    x = 174.8 / 2 = 87.4 degrees

    and its complement = 90 - 87.4 = 2.6 degrees
