The gasoline gauge on a van initially read one fourth 1 4 full. when 1010 gallons were added to the tank, the gauge read two thirds 2 3 full. how many more gallons are needed to fill the tank?

    It is a 24 gallon tank

    at 1/4 full =

    6 gallons / 24 gallons = 1/4

    after 10 gallons added,

    = 16/24

    = 2/3 full

    So 8 more gallons are needed to fill the tank completely.
