Read the following statements. 1. Jon, Elizabeth, and Franco read 27 books among them for a class. 2. Franco read 6 books. 3. None of the three students read more than 7 books. Which two statements contradict each other?

    The statements that cant possibly go together would be 1 and 3

    without even considering statement two we know that 3 students each reading no more than 7 books would NOT pass 21. (3*7=21).

    so right there you know it is impossible to reach 27 books.
