It is 5/12
You have to make the denominators equal so 3/4 * 3 (multiply 3 on top and bottom) = 9/12
1/3 * 4 = 4/12
9/12 - 4/12 = 5/12

Answer = 5/12
You need to make the denominator the same for both fractions to find the answer.
