    6 Roses would be bought, and 9 Daisies would be bought.

    6*3 = 18

    9*1 = 9

    18+9 = 27 27 being the money you started with.

    Answer). The roses bought cost $18

    D + 3r = 27

    d = r + 3

    (r + 3) + 3r = 27

    4r + 3 = 27

    4r = 27 - 3

    4r = 24

    r = 24/4

    r = 6 ... so he bought 6 roses ... at $ 3 each ... so he spend $18 on roses
