    Sally bought 2 pizzas cut into 5 slices. She wanted to divide it between her and her 4 friends. How many slices do each friend get?

    2 (5) = 10

    10:5=5

    A candy bar costs 5 dollars. you want 2 of them so you multiply using the expression: 2 (5) = 10. You have 4 friends so you decided to divide the candy bar in 5ths so that you and the 4 friends can have the same amount: 2 (5) divided by 5=5.
