Can a triangle be drawn with 7 inches, 5 inches and 12 inches?

    This is because the length of the two shorter sides is not longer than the length of the longest side. In this case, 7+5=12. Therefore, the two shortest sides would simplify lay on top of the longer side, therefore not making a triangle.
