    You could change the equation to slope intercept form:

    3x - 7y = 11

    -7y = 11 - 3x

    y = (11 - 3x) / - 7

    y = 3/7 x - 11/7

    The slope would be 3/7

    Which can also be found by using - A/B, A being 3 and B being - 7

    Slope intercept form is y=mx+b where m=slope and b=yintercept so

    3x-7y=11

    add 7y to both sideds

    3x=11+7y

    subtract 11 from both sides

    3x-11=7y

    divide both sides by 7

    3/7x-11/7=y

    y=3/7x-11/7

    slope is 3/7
