Step 1 - Expand.
8x - 2 + 9 - 6x = 0
Step 2 - Simplify 8x - 2 + 9 - 6x to 2x - 2 + 9
2x - 2 + 9 = 0
Step 3 - Simplify 2x - 2 + 9 to 2x + 7
2x + 7 = 0
Step 4 - Subtract 7 from both sides
2x = - 7
Step 5 - Divide both sides by 2
Answer = x = - 7/5
