    If a cylinder is inscribed inside the cube, the maximum height would be equivalent to one side of the cube, as well as the diameter. Thus, h = d = 3 inches. The volume of a cylinder is V = pi*r^2*h

    V = pi * (3/2) ^2*3

    V = 21.2 cubic inches
