Naomi has been contracted to put decorative lights on the outside edges of a building. She knows that each string of lights she will use has a length of 47 feet. If the outside edges of the building total 1350 feet what is the least number of strings of light Naomi need?

A) 26

B) 27

C) 28

D) 29

    You would divide 1350 by 47 to find our how many strings of lights she would need.

    1350 / 47 = 28.7234

    note that IF you choose 28, you would run short because it would not be enough to cover all of that edge.

    so you would need to round up to 29

    therefore our answer would be D) 29 strings of lights.
