How can graphs be created from verbal expressions?

    Not all verbal expressions can create a graph.

    An example of one that can is:

    "Price is always cost plus twenty dollars"

    this would translate into the equation:

    P = C + 20

    which can be graphed on a coordinate system where y=P and x=C.
