You buy 2 T-shirts in a sale. You pay the full price of $12 for the first T-shirt, and you get the second T-shirt for half this price. What fraction of the full price do you pay for 2 shirts?

    You pay 3/4 of the original price for the shirts because, with the sale, the t-shirts cost $18, and without the sale they would cost $24, the fraction is 18/24, but when simplified, it is equal to 3/4.
