It would equal 7/12. You need find a common denominator. You can do this by finding the least common multiple of both of the numbers. Or you can multiply the denominators together to get a quick fix. Remember, you always have to multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number. After that, just add only the numerator, and you should get 7/12.
