A carpenter has a board 18 and 1/2 feet long. He needs to cut as many 1 and 3/4 feet long prices as possible. How many prices can the carpenter cut? Explain how you found your answer

    You turn 1 and 3/4 to 1.75. Then you turn 18 and 1/2 to 18.50. After that you divide 18.50 by 1.75. Which should get you 10 and a remainder. So the answer is 10.
