When asked to write the prime factorization of the number 27, a student wrote 9.3. Explain the error and write the correct asnwer

    Prime means no factors besides 1 and itself. 9 is not prime because 9=3*3, not just 9*1. So 27 would be 3*3*3 in its prime factored form not 9*3.
