A large bin of mixed nuts contains peanuts, cashews, almonds, and walnuts. Luke scoops out a bowl full of nuts and counts how many of each type he has: 18 peanuts, 8 cashews, 10 almonds, and 9 walnuts.

Armando scoops out a bowl of 30 nuts. About how many should he expect to be peanuts?

    In total Luke found 18 peanuts out of 45 nuts - a ratio of 2:5

    Armando will expect to find a ratio of 2:5 which is 12 peanuts out of 30 nuts.
