    A=2pr^2+2prh and r=d/2 so

    A = (2pd^2) / 4 + (2pdh) / 2

    A = (2pd^2+4pdh) / 4

    A = (2pd/4) (d+2h)

    A = (pd/2) (d+2h)

    A = (6p/2) (6+2*50)

    A = (3p) (106)

    A=318p cm^2

    A≈999.0 cm^2 (to nearest tenth of a square centimeter)
