The length of rectangle is 1 meter less than it's width. The area of the rectangle is 42 square meters. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

    We can turn this word problem into equations! So let l be length and w be width. So we can write, l+1=w. And l*w=42. we can plug the first equation in ... l (l+1) = 42 which is l^2+l=42. We can see that l=6. So w=7.
