Peter invested $550in insurance and stocks. he put $100 more in the insurance than he put into stocks. how much did he invest in each?

    Let be x - Peter invested into stocks, then x+100 - Peter invested in the insurance.

    Equation is:

    x+x+100=550

    2x+100=550

    2x=550-100

    2x=450

    x=$225 - Peter invested into stocks.

    225+100=$325 - Peter invested in the unsurance.
