Hugh bought 2 bottles of water. If the total cost of water was $4.50, which equation could be used to find the cost of each bottle of water?

$4.50x = 2

x / $4.50 = 2

2x = $4.50

$4.50 - x = 2

    2x+$4.50. this is because 2 times x (the variable) must be equal to $4.50.
