Divide 50 into the ratio 1:4

1 add 4 equals 5,
To get to 50 from 5 you times by 10,
so you do the same for the other ratios.
1 * 10 = 10
4 * 10 = 40

The answer is 10:40
so 1:4
add it up
1+4=5
so 5 total units
$50=5 units
divide by 5
$10=1 unit
so 1:4=10:10 times 4=10:40
the answer is 10:40
