What is the approximate area of a semicircle with a radius of 6 in.? Use π≈3.14.

    Area of a circle = πr²

    or 3.14r², in your case.

    3.14 * 6² = 113.04 in²

    A semicircle is half of a full circle, therefore we can just half our answer.

    113.04 / 2 = 56.52 in²
