An irrational number is defined as a number with a decimal number that is repeating infinitely, thus non-terminating. A rational number on the other hand is a fraction. To convert an irrational number to a rational number, then we can use a calculator and input the repeating number more than 15 times and we can get a fraction. 0.1515 repeating is equivalent to 5/33
