The range for the cities in the south is 145 larger than the range for the cities in the north.

We find the range by subtracting the highest and lowest values; in the North, we have:

305 - 58 = 247

In the South, we have:

503 - 111 = 392

The difference in the ranges is 392 - 247 = 145.
