Nina put together 6 squares to make a rectangle. There are 3 rows of squares. Each row has 2 squares. How many small and large squares in all are in the rectangle. Explain your answer.

    Dear Bethanyawadle, you can find 8 squares, large and small. You have the six small squares total (6), and you have two large squares grouping two squares that are 2x2. (2). Add 6 and 2 to get 8 squares.
