    Given that Latesha is trying to justify if expression given by 4x-3 is equivalent to 1/2 (4x-6) - 2x (1-3). To this she needs to simplify the second expression first.

    1/2 (4x-6) - 2x (1-3)

    =2x-3-2x (-2)

    =2x-3+4x

    =6x-3

    Now she will be able to compare:

    4x-3 and 6x-3m, and she will use the the first terms of the equations.
