Well one lap around a track is 400 meters so, if you do 5000/400 you would get 12.5. The answer is 12.5 laps

Depending on the size of the track but from what I know, they are normally 400 meters for 1 lap. All you need to do is 5000 divided by 400 which is 12.5 so 5000 meters is 12 and a half laps around the track.
