    Step 1: Multiply 4 by (5n-7). = 20n - 28

    Step 2: Subtract 10n from both sides. The equation is now 10n - 28 = 2.

    Step 3: Add 28 to both sides. The equation is now 10n = 30.

    Step 4: Divide both sides by 10. The equation is now n = 3.

    The final answer is n = 3.

    First distribute the 4 (5n-7);

    20n-28=10n+2

    Now subtract both sides by 10n and add 28 to both sides;

    20n-10n=2+28

    10n=30

    n=3
