    Hello!

    We have been given enough information to answer this question!

    We know that a square has four sides, and each of its sides are of equal length. We also know that the sides measure 2 feet long.

    The rectangular painting is made up of two congruent squares. Congruent means they are the same.

    The formula for the area of a square is:

    A = a (squared)

    Substitute:

    A = 2 * 2 = 4

    So, the area of one square is 4 ft. That means the area of both of the squares combined would be 8 ft.

    So, the area of the entire painting is 8 feet squared. (Write a small two just above feet to indicate that it is squared).
