We convert 5 3/8 to a mixed number and will be equal to 43/8 and 6/1 we multiply it by 48 to be 288/48 and 43/8 multiply numerator and denominator by 6 to get 258/48 and then we subtract we will get 5/8 which is 0.628 and that would be the answer.
