Kizzy bought four bags of apples. Each bag had the same number of apples. Her mom gave her 8 more apples. Now Lizzy has 36 apples. How many apples were in each bag?

    7 apples in each bag because 36-8 = 28 (the number of apples she started out with) and 28/4 = 7
