    y = 12 (2x - 1) (2x + 7)

    y = 12 (2x (2x + 7) - 1 (2x + 7))

    y = 12 (2x (2x) + 2x (7) - 1 (2x) - 1 (7))

    y = 12 (4x² + 14x - 2x - 7)

    y = 12 (4x² + 12x - 7)

    y = 12 (4x²) + 12 (12x) - 12 (7)

    y = 48x² + 144x - 84

    -48x² - 144x + y = - 84

    -1 (-48x² - 144x + y) = - 1 (-84)

    -1 (-48x²) + 1 (144x) - 1 (y) = 84

    48x² + 144x - y = 84
