1 and 1/3 gallons transfers to 4/3 them you subtract 5/6 so you would have to make the 4/3 to 8/6 so you subtract 8-5 and get 3 so 3/6 and that is equal to 1/2

    1 1/3 - 5/6

Find common demoninator which is 6.

    Then do 2*1=2.

    Now you got 2/6 - 5/6 = - 3/6

    Simplify:

    -3/6=-1/2

    Then combined answers.

    1 - 1/2 = 1/2

    Final answer is 1/2
