    The answer would be s = 108/-5 and in decimal form - 21.6.

    s/4 - 4 - 2/3s = 5

    s/4 - 4 - 2s/3 = 5

    5s/-12 - 4 = 5

    5s/-12 = 5 + 4

    5s/-12 = 9

    -5s = 9 * 12

    -5s = 108

    s = 108/-5.

    First combine like terms

    5+4 = 9

    1/4s-2/3s = - 5/12s

    -5/12s = 9

    S = - 21.6
