    y = 3 (x (x - 2) - 2 (x - 2)) - (x (x - 5) - 5 (x - 5))

    y = 3 (x (x) - x (2) - 2 (x) + 2 (2)) - (x (x) - x (5) - 5 (x) + 5 (5))

    y = 3 (x² - 2x - 2x + 4) - (x² - 5x - 5x + 25)

    y = 3 (x² - 4x + 4) - (x² - 10x + 25)

    y = 3 (x²) - 3 (4x) + 3 (4) - (x²) + (10x) - (25)

    y = (3x² - 12x + 12) + (-x² + 10x - 25)
