    X = 26; y = 27

    (x - y) 2 = x² - 2xy + y²

    (26 - 27) ² = 26² - 2 (26) (27) + 27²

    (-1) ² = 676 - 1404 + 729

    1 = 1405 - 1404

    1 = 1
