    The owner of a shop wants to mix cashews and pecans to make 8 kg of mixed nuts worth $7.25 per kg. If the price of cashews is $8.00 per kg and the price of pecans is $7.00 per kg.

    We know that the owner wants to make a mix of cashews and pecans that are in total of 8 kg. We also know that cashews is $8.00 per kg and the price of pecans is $7.00 per kg.

    To solve this problem we have to multiply $ 8.00 and $ 7.00 by 8 since the owner wants to make 8 kg mix of cashews and pecans.

    cashews = $8.00 per kg

    pecans = $7.00 per kg.

    8 x 8 = 64

    7 x 8 = 56

    The owner needs 64 kg of cashews and 56 kg of pecans.

    The owner should buy 8 kg of cashews and 7 kg of pecans.
