    4 quarters = $1.00

    3 dimes = $.30

    2 nickels = $.10

    2 pennies = $.02

    Total = $1.42

    Then you take the amount of dimes ($.30) and divide it by the total ($1.42)

    Therefore your fraction is 30/142 or simplified 15/71.
