If the price of a cd that normally costs $17.50 was marked up by 8% what is the new cost

    CD cost=17.50

    Marked up=8%

    So 8%of 17.50

    8:100*17.50=1.4

    So add the old cd cost to the answer

    =17.50+1.4=18.9 is the new cost
