1 cubic foot of sand weighs 100 lb. a square sandbox with 5 foot sides has a half of a foot of sand in it. how many pounds of sand is sandbox the holding?

    1250. Cubic feet = volume and volume is length * width * height. The volume of this would be 5x5x (1/2), which equals 12.5 cubic feet. 12.5*100=1250
