There are 2 aircraft carriers, A& B, and carrier a is longer in length than carrier B. The total length of these 2 carriers is 4,198 ft, while the differences of their lengths is only 10ft. Find the length of each carrier

    Sum and difference problem.

    Longer carrier = (sum+difference) / 2 = (4198+10) / 2 = 2104 ft

    Shorter carrier = (sum-difference) / 2 = (4198-10) / 2 = 2094 ft.
