A farmer collected 12 dozen eggs from her chickens. She sold 5/6 of the eggs to the farmers market and gave the rest to friends and neighbors. How many dozens of eggs did the farmer give away

    She collect 12 dozens, a dozen = 12

    12 Dozens = 12 * 12 = 144

    She gave 1/6 to her friends and family, to find 1/6 you divide it.

    144 / 6 = 24

    24 = 1/6

    She gave 24 to her friends and family
