Remember: To isolate the variable do the operation used on both sides, not just one
Okay so now what you do is subtract 4y from both sides.
Now you're left with 2y + 12 = 12
Subtract 12 from both sides to isolate the y
Now you have 2y = 0
Divide by 2
y = 0
