3/10 is less than 4/5, So take one part from 4 and add to 3/10
The new fraction=3 and 13/10 - 2 and 4/5
13/10 - 4/5
LCD: 10
13/10 - 8/10
5/10 = 1/2
Whole numbers 3-2 = 1
