Sam says that the membership in the science club is growing linearly. At the first time meeting there were 12 members. By the fifth meeting, the club had grown to 18 members. Assuming this growth continues, how many member can they expect at the seventh meeting?

    About 20. 18-12 is 6, 6 divided by 5 is 1.2, 1.2 times 7 is 8.4. You would expect 8 more members than the first meeting, so 20.
