    First find the rate of growth

    146=140 (1+r) ^ (1998-1994)

    Solve for r

    R = (146:140) ^ (1:4) - 1

    R=0.011 use it to find the population in 2011

    P=146 (1.011) ^ (2011-1998)

    P=146 * (1.011) ^ (13)

    P=168.3
